our story

created in 2003, by Cristy Vallee, vallee:design is the practical application of passion for meaningful communication, extensive experience throughout the marketing process, and commitment to the future of graphic design. And Starbucks Caramel Macchiatos, which are far more crucial to the creative process than most know.

Cristy received her Masters in Fine Art and Graphic Design from Boston University and has worked with a number of private design studios and firms, advertising and marketing agencies, and exhibit design firms. She has taught design at Endicott College and Bridgewater State Universtity. Cristy currently teaches introductory and upper levels of design at Stonehill College. Staying current and 'in the loop' in the field, she is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists, a VIP HOW Design member and a member of the Graphic Artists Guild.

Cristy has built our team at vallee:design to consist of dedicated professionals with the same creativity and drive to create meaningful communication that she has. Each team member has a specialty, but none of us are without a deep understanding of effective marketing and a focused dedicated to suffusing it through all of our work.

our team

Who are we? We are surprisingly lousy basketball players. Its probably best to get that out there first.

Beyond that, though, is where our strengths really lie. At vallee:design, we are catalysts, translators, organizers, communicators, collaborators, marketers, educators, problem solvers, idea builders, and storytellers.

Each of us has a specialty, but none of us deviate from the knowledge that meaningful design calls on us to exercise all parts of our professional expertise. In her book, 'Looking Closer', design guru Julie Lasky calls on all creatives to "exercise taste, flaunt imagination, organize data, leave a mark, take a stand, raise curiosity, heighten senses." We agree — and we strive to do it all, every day.
